About the Sis-Q A’s

A Brief History

In 1992, Dick Mace and Stan Ellison discovered each other while driving their Model A’s in downtown Yreka, California.  A fast friendship was formed, and a short time later, along with fellow Model A’ers Don Favero, Mike Parks, and Chuck Mohab, they held their first meeting and the Sis-Q A’s was formed.  Their first official tour was over 35 miles (!)  to the Mount Shasta fish hatchery.  Bit by bit the tours increased in length, as did the confidence of the drivers.  Soon, just about every local parade was added to their schedule, and their first Gymkhana and potluck (which has since grown to a three-chapter event) was held.  Through it all, memories of adventures and misadventures were made, and continue to be made, with the focus on people helping people, both on the road and off.
